PM Modi to inaugurate new Parliament building

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Parliament building on May 28. The four-storey building can house over 1,200 MPs. Construction of the new Parliament building is complete and the new building symbolizes the spirit of a self-reliant India. The foundation stone of the new Parliament building was laid by PM Modi in December 2020. The new building is part of the redevelopment of the Central Vista, the nation’s power corridor. The new Parliament building, constructed by Tata Projects Ltd, will have a grand constitution hall to showcase India’s democratic heritage, a lounge for members of Parliament, a library, multiple committee rooms, dining areas and ample parking space. In the new parliament, marshals of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will have a new dress code.
