‘Queen’ has been revealed as the Oxford Children’s Word of the Year for 2022. It’s the first time children have been involved in selecting the word and more than 4,000 had their say. In second place was “happy”, chosen by 36% of children, with “chaos” coming in third with 14% of the vote. Last year’s Children’s Word of the Year was anxiety, and in 2020 it was coronavirus.
