Gautam Adani Enters $100 Billion Club With Elon Musk & Jeff Bezos

Regaining the richest Asian tag with $100 bn wealth, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani has entered the centibillionaires club. He’s the world’s biggest gainer this year and now the world’s 10th richest person. Adani has overtaken Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, whose fortune stands at $99 billion, and has become Asia’s richest person again. He is just under Oracle chairperson and c -founder Larry Ellison, who is worth $103 billion. In 2021, Adani’s achievements stood out as he briefly became the richest person in Asia, surpassing all his peers and competitors. The 59-year-old saw his wealth soaring up $42.7 billion, even as the world’s richest people jointly added added more than $1 trillion to their fortunes. In 2017, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos was the first to hit the $100 billion milestone since Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates back in 1999. Tesla Inc.’s Elon Musk is now the world’s richest person with a fortune of $273 billion and the one who joined the group in 2020.
