Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has granted emergency use approval to Serum Institute of India and Biological E’s COVID-19 vaccines Covovax and Corbevax. The government said Corbevax is India’s first indigenously developed RBD protein sub-unit COVID-19 vaccine. Merck’s COVID-19 antiviral drug molnupiravir has also been granted approval and will be made by 13 companies in India.
