US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has warned that retaliatory tariffs by India in response to the US’ planned withdrawal of some trade privileges won’t be “appropriate” under WTO rules. “So the American companies are showing…a very cooperative attitude towards ‘Make in India’ and the other programmes. But there’s a limit to how far the discriminatory behaviour can go,” Ross added.
