Amazon plans to launch 3,200 satellites for high-speed internet

The world’s richest man Jeff Bezos-led Amazon has confirmed it plans to launch a constellation of over 3,200 low-Earth orbit satellites for high-speed broadband connectivity. “Project Kuiper” is aimed at communities that lack basic access to broadband internet globally, the e-commerce giant said. Elon Musk’s SpaceX and SoftBank-backed OneWeb are also planning to establish satellite constellations.
