YouTube changes its logo for the first time

Google-owned video sharing platform YouTube has debuted a new logo for the first time since it was launched 12 years ago. Besides the new logo, YouTube has also redesigned its mobile app and desktop version to give it a cleaner look. YouTube also plans to launch gestures support on its app to let people switch between videos with a swipe.YouTube is an American video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California. The service was created by three former PayPal employees — Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim — in February 2005.
