China leads in constructing skyscrapers for 9th year in row

China has built 84 of the 128 skyscrapers of height over 200 metres built across the world in 2016 to become the world’s leading builder of skyscrapers for the 9th consecutive year. China was followed by the US, which built only 7 such buildings. At 530 meters, CTF Finance Centre in China’s Guangzhou was the tallest skyscraper built last year.
