Apple has revealed that App Store had its biggest month of sales in history in December 2016, with the company earning $3 billion in revenue in the period. App developers were paid $20 billion in 2016, up 40% from a year ago. Pokémon Go was the most downloaded app and the fifth highest-grossing app in 2016 on the App Store.
