A team of five innovative minds from Shiv Nadar School has created an eco-friendly, pocket-friendly, portable device, Zephyrus. The device promises to provide year-round comfort and cater to people from the underserved socio-economic section. Zephyrus is a portable device with dual functionality; cooling and heating. It is an eco-friendly and cost-effective device that will be accessible to a broader section of society. Zephyrus works on the principle of the Peltier effect and doesn’t require any cooling agent to create the cooling effect. Thus, it could help save tons of water consumed by traditional coolers and reduce the negative environmental impact of refrigerants used in air conditioners.
