South Korea has approved its first domestically developed COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18 or older. SK bioscience’s two-dose SKYCovione vaccine appeared to be more effective than AstraZeneca shots in building immunity against COVID-19 in clinical trials. Some 4,000 participants in South Korea and five other nations were involved in trials.
