Method to harvest drinking water from air developed

IIT Guwahati researchers have claimed to have made novel materials that can harvest water from humid air. They mimicked the pitcher plant, an insect-eating plant with a slippery surface and used the concept of chemically patterned Slippery Liquid-Infused Porous Surfaces. The team produced a patterned hydrophilic SLIP by spraying sponge-like porous polymeric material on top of a simple A4 printer paper.
