College student discovers 65 million-year-old Triceratops skull in US

Harrison Duran, a fifth-year biology student at the University of California, Merced, has unearthed a 65 million-year-old Triceratops skull during a dig in the Badlands of North Dakota with experienced excavator Michael Kjelland. The skull was found among Cretaceous period plant fossils. “I’ve been obsessed with dinosaurs since I was a kid, so it was a pretty big deal,” Duran said.
