Qatar to fine up to ₹41 lakh for not wearing masks

Qatar’s Interior Ministry has announced that wearing masks will be mandatory to go outside starting from Sunday, and those who don’t comply will be fined up to 2,00,000 riyals (around ₹41 lakh). Those found flouting the directions could also be jailed up to three years, or either of those punishments, according to a statement on the ministry’s Twitter account.
