Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to bid adieu to their “His and Her Royal Highness” titles as they step back from their royal duties, Buckingham Palace announced on Saturday. The Duke, 35, and Duchess of Sussex, 38, have apparently reached a compromise with Queen Elizabeth II after sharing their shocking decision to step back as senior members of the royal family, split their time between the U.K. and North America, and become financially independent. Following the Sussexes’ surprise announcement last week, they and the rest of the Windsors have been trying to negotiate the details of the duo’s future. The duke and duchess have reportedly agreed to repay the Sovereign Grant funds for the renovations they’ve made to Frogmore Cottage. The home, which reportedly had more than $3 million worth of work done, will remain their official residence in the U.K.
