New Zealand to hold referendum on Euthanasia in 2020

New Zealand’s Parliament has passed a bill in favour of legalising euthanasia, however, the final decision on it will be put to a referendum in 2020. The bill was passed by 69 votes to 51 with many lawmakers reportedly not voting along party lines. The bill allows terminally ill people with less than six months to live to choose assisted dying.
