Finland declares state of emergency amid rising COVID-19 cases

Finland has declared a state of emergency amid a sharp rise in coronavirus cases in the country due to COVID-19 variants. The government has proposed to the parliament a temporary closure of bars and dining at restaurants from March 8 to 28. Finland is a Northern European nation bordering Sweden, Norway and Russia.
