NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir have successfully concluded humanity’s first-ever spacewalk with only women at around 12:25 AM IST on 19th October. The two women worked for over seven hours in the vacuum of space to conduct International Space Station’s maintenance. With this, astronaut Meir also became the 15th woman out of a total of 228 spacewalkers.
