No oral, written exams for children aged 3-6 years

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in its latest guidelines has said that no child in pre-school aged between 3-6 years should be made to give written or oral exam. “The purpose of evaluation at pre-school is not to label a child as ‘pass’ or ‘fail’,” it added. The government is also planning to make pre-school education mandatory.
