Preet Didbal has been elected as the Mayor of Yuba city in California, becoming the first Sikh woman to hold the position in the US. Didbal who currently serves as the city’s Vice Mayor will be sworn in as the Mayor on December 5. There are over five lakh people in the US who follow the Sikh faith.
