Kohli overtook South Africa&#8217;s AB de Villiers who had reached 9,000-run mark in his 205th innings. Kohli also surpassed ex-Australian captain Ricky Ponting&#8217;s 1,424 runs to slam most ODI runs by a captain in a calendar year.</p>
