Exoplanet orbiting three stars discovered

Researchers using European Southern Observatory’s ‘Very Large Telescope’ have discovered a rare exoplanet orbiting three different stars located around 340 light-years from Earth. Named ‘HD 131399Ab’, the planet is four times heavier than Jupiter and has a surface temperature of over 576ºC. In the triple star system, two stars are orbiting each other while also going around the third star.
