In order to hunt for extraterrestrial life and explore space, China has built the world’s largest radio telescope, named FAST (Five Hundred Metre Aperture Spherical Telescope). The radio telescope is equivalent to the size of 30 football fields. It took about five years to build and is expected to begin operations in September.
