Researchers from the University of Oxford and University of Paris VI, inspired by spider silk, have developed a new type of composite wire, which they are calling ‘liquid wire’. The spider silk property which was imitated was that it never sags after snapping back from the stretched state. This advancement can help in engineering, medicine and materials.
