PM Narendra Modi becomes 2nd most followed world leader

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the second-most followed world leader on popular micro-blogging site Twitter. US President Barack Obama has 64.2 million followers while Modi has moved past the 15-million follower mark.Notably, Modi is the third most-followed celebrity on Twitter in India. Ahead of him are Amitabh Bachchan (17 million followers) and Shah Rukh Khan (15.3 million followers).The PM also holds the world record for the most number of retweets for his tweet right after grabbing victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Modi's huge victory in the 2014 General Election was partly credited to a well-organised social media campaign.
