China to resume issuing ordinary passports and visas

China has announced that it will resume issuing ordinary visas and passports after nearly three years of international isolation following the COVID-19 outbreak. This move is set to pave the way for millions of Chinese travelling abroad during next month’s Lunar New Year holiday. The National Immigration Administration of China said it will start accepting applications for passports from January 8.
