China is all set to overtake the US as the world’s biggest oil refiner by next year, according to the International Energy Agency. China’s infrastructure and its quick economic rebound from the pandemic, coupled with US’ economic crisis and transition away from oil-based fuels have led to this, reported Bloomberg. In comparison, US had 35 times the refining capacity of China in 1967.
