The US has announced a $12.1-million (₹92 crore) economic aid package for Greenland in a bid to counter Russian and Chinese influence in the Arctic. The package, which is aimed particularly at Greenland’s areas of natural resources and education, was welcomed by the Danish territory’s government. The support comes 8 months after Donald Trump expressed interest in buying Greenland.
