Ex-Windies captain Clive Lloyd conferred with knighthood

Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd will receive knighthood for his “outstanding service to cricket” as part of Britain’s New Year’s Honours. Lloyd led West Indies from 1974 to 1985 and won 26 matches without defeat including the 5-0 Test series win against England. He also led the team to consecutive victories in the first two World Cups.
