Italy’s PM Giuseppe Conte said he will submit his resignation to President Sergio Mattarella after his coalition partner Deputy PM Matteo Salvini moved a no-confidence vote against him. The coalition government was formed in March 2018 by Conte’s Five Star Movement party and Salvini’s League party. Conte accused Salvini of seeking a snap election for political gain.
