Sweden-based scientists have developed ‘transparent wood’ material which can transmit light and can also store and release heat. The material, made after removing a component of the cell walls of wood, is good for solar cells as it is cheap, readily available and renewable, researchers said. They added it can be used for windows to let light in while maintaining privacy.
