Austria has announced plans to ban girls from wearing headscarves in kindergarten and primary schools to prevent discrimination and development of parallel societies. The move is a part of the “Child Protection Act” which would apply to girls of up to 10 years. “The veiling of small children should have no place in our country,” Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said.
