The Walt Disney Company has announced that it will acquire 21st Century Fox’s film and television studios, cable entertainment networks and international TV businesses in a deal worth $52.4 billion. Popular Fox entertainment properties include X-Men, Avatar, Star India, FX Networks and National Geographic. Bob Iger will remain the Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company through 2021.
