Engineers and scientists at MIT have nudged nuclear fusion power another step closer to reality, by setting a new world record for plasma pressure inside a specially designed Tokamak reactor.While using nuclear fusion to power homes and businesses may still be some way off, the work proves that the burning of star-like fuel can be achieved and contained using the current approach.Nuclear fusion is being looked to as a potentially limitless source of clean energy, created by the same core processes inside the sun.
