PM Modi awarded Afghan’s highest civilian honour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Afghanistan’s highest civilian honour, the Amir Amanullah Khan Award. Reacting to it, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted, “A true brotherhood is honoured.” Earlier, Modi landed in Afghanistan on the first leg of his five-nation tour and inaugurated the Afghan-India Friendship Dam in the country’s Herat province.
