Iran names 1st woman Ambassador

Iran has appointed its first woman ambassador Marzieh Afkham since the 1979 Islamic revolution, to head its embassy in Malaysia. Afkham was also the first woman to serve as a foreign ministry spokeswoman previously. Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif paid tribute to Afkham saying she had carried out her duties with dignity and bravery.
