India, US to sign MoU to protect each other’s satellites

India and the US will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of Space Situational Awareness (SSA) during the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue. Through the agreement, the two countries will share data to protect each other’s satellites from man-made or natural threats. A satellite is an object that has been intentionally placed into orbit. These objects are called artificial satellites to distinguish them from natural satellites such as Earth’s Moon.
