Chief Justice of India Jagdish Singh Khehar has recommended Supreme Court judge Justice Dipak Misra as his successor after his retirement on August 27 this year. Justice Misra, who will be India’s 45th Chief Justice, will hold the office until his retirement on October 2, 2018. The 63-year-old was enrolled as an advocate on February 14, 1977.
