Actress-filmmaker Jodie Foster will be given the honorary Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival this year, the organizers announced on Wednesday. The Academy Award-winning actress will also be the guest of honour at the opening ceremony on July 6. “Cannes is a festival to which I owe so much…it has completely changed my life,” Jodie said in a statement.
