“Relentless curiosity” is the theme of the TEDx Youth@chanakyapuri event on the 1st of December, 2012, at the American Embassy Sschool, New Delhi.
Speakers from India and across the globe shall share their story and awaken curiosity, wonder and intrigue in our young audience.

Arthur T. Benjamin is an American mathematician who specializes in combinatorics. Since 1989 he has been a Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College.He is known for mental math capabilities and mathemagics performances. These have included shows at the Magic Castle and TED. He is also the first mathematician to have been featured on the Colbert Report.
As seen in the movie “ALIVE”, in 1972, on October 13, the Fairchild F-227 plane carrying 40 passengers and 5 crew members, crashed in the Andes mountains. After 72 endless days, living at more than 3,500 meters height, bearing temperatures down to 30 degrees below zero and sustaining himself with human flesh, Eduardo was one of the 16 survivors who were rescued. His talk, “EXIT”, is characterized by a humanistic, mature vision and is free of heroism and trivial aspects. He highlights the crucial factor: that a natural need for organization became apparent when the survivors faced limit conditions and needed to reach an aim. Within this, a new leadership developed.
