Who are the key candidates contesting the UK general election?

UK’s Boris Johnson, who took over as the PM in July, is contesting from the Uxbridge and Ruislip South Parliamentary constituency on a Conservative Party ticket. Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and Jo Swinson, the 39-year-old Liberal Democrat leader, are other key candidates contesting the election. A total of 3,322 candidates are standing for election across the UK’s 650 constituencies.
