Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed legislation requiring all smartphones, computers and smart TV sets sold in the country to come pre-installed with Russian software. The law will come into effect in July 2020 and is reportedly aimed at promoting Russian-made software. The Russian government will publish a list of applications that need to be pre-installed on different devices.
