Singapore has dethroned the United States as the most competitive economy in the world while India did not even make it to the top 40 economies in IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2019. India ranked at 43rd position, one position higher compared to 2018. Singapore is followed by Hong Kong and the United States in the rankings.
