Pakistan has released 100 Indian prisoners as a “goodwill gesture”, all of whom crossed over through the Attari-Wagah border. This comes after India called upon Pakistan to take steps for the repatriation and release of the prisoners lodged in jails despite the completion of their sentences. There are 537 Indian prisoners in Pakistani jails, 483 of whom are fishermen.
