ISRO launches student-made satellite Kalamsat-V2 into space

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched a small communication student-made satellite Kalamsat-V2 and imaging satellite Microsat-R through its PSLV-C44 into the intended orbit. The launch took place from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The 10-cm cube satellite Kalamsat-V2 has a life span of two months and weighs about 1.2 kg.
