Scientists at Francis Crick Institute in London are developing a new method to treat cancer using immune cells. Scientists believe patients’ immune systems can be enhanced to help fight off cancer tumours from within their bodies by transplanting immune cells from strangers. They intend to set up immune banks to store these cells which can then be delivered to clinics.
