American computing giant Intel has acquired Israeli self-driving technology startup Mobileye in a $15.3 billion all-cash deal. This is the world’s biggest purchase of a company solely focused on the self-driving sector. Mobileye has teamed up with Intel for its fifth-generation of chips aimed to be used in fully self-driving vehicles scheduled to be launched around 2021.
