New Zealand captain breaks fastest Test century record

Brendon McCullum has set a new world record for the fastest Test match hundred in his final international appearance against Australia in Christchurch.

The 34-year-old captain needed just 54 balls to reach his 12th century in a majestic display.

It beat the mark of 56 balls set by West Indies great Sir Viv Richards against England in 1986, and equaled by Pakistan’s Misbah-ul-Haq in 2014.
